FTI Consulting (FCN) Appoints Managing Director to GRIP

FTI Consulting, Inc. (FCN - Free Report) yesterday announced the appointment of financial investigative and litigation expert David Williams as a managing director in the Global Risk & Investigations Practice (“GRIP”) within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment. He will assist the company withdomestic and international investigations.
Williams has 25 years of experience in the financial investigation space. Previously, he was a tax attorney and special agent at the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) Criminal Investigations division. Also, he was a member of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force for 17 years.
The announcement came just day after the company announced the appointment of two securities industry veterans — Christopher Chatfield and Anthony Italiano — as senior managing directors in the Forensic Accounting & Advisory Services practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment.
They are in charge of the company’s Broker-dealer Regulatory, Governance and Disputes offering. Together, they bring more than 45 years of experience in advising broker-dealers as well as banks on regulatory and compliance issues.
Our Take
Expansion of the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment through these appointments appears to be part of FTI Consulting’s efforts to enhance its employees skill set and improve offerings. That move is appropriate as regulatory scrutiny and corporate litigations are increasing.
Notably, structural change has become a necessity in the rapidly evolving global markets as management teams look to fend off rivals, protect intellectual property rights and transform businesses via M&A, divestiture and other restructuring activities. These developments call for FTI Consulting’s specialized skill sets and are likely to boost revenues.
A few other top-ranked stocks in the broader Zacks Business Services sector are Paychex, Inc (PAYX - Free Report) , WEX Inc (WEX - Free Report) and Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP - Free Report) , each carrying a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Long-term expected EPS (three to five years) growth rates for Paychex, WEX and Automatic Data Processing are 8.5%, 15% and 12.5%, respectively.
