EA Launches New Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

Electronic Arts (EA - Free Report) division PopCap recently launched Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. The latest game from the popular shooter franchise is available in stores and for digital download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Origin.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville comes with six online multiplayer modes, including a new Funderdome battling arena where users can fight with 20 customizable character classes.

Additionally, the newly introduced Team Play character class lets four players to battle it out as Oak and Acorn for plants and Space Cadet for Zombies.

Moreover, players can further strategize botanical battles with six newly introduced sprouted faces including Snapdragon and the '80s Action Hero character added to the zombie team.

Further, players can also jump and roam freely in three separate areas namely the Neighborville Town Center, Mount Steep, and Weirding Woods, which offer challenges, an array of cosmetics and a familiar cast of popular characters such as Peashooter, Sunflower, Imp and Mech and Soldier that have returned in the new game.

Players can also use the new social area called Giddy Park to interact, which comes with a target range, amusement park rides, and multiplayer battles.

Monthly events like the upcoming Lawn of Doom Festival have been added for players to win rewards and unlock cosmetics through unique challenges.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is available at $39.99 standard or $49.99 deluxe edition.

Notably, a Founder’s Edition of the game was released for game play from Sep 4 to Oct 17 priced at $29.99 where users could also share feedback with the development team before complete launch.
