Fund Description
The fund was incepted in August 1987 and is managed by Calvert Asset Management Company. The fund seeks growth of capital through investment in stocks of issuers in industries believed to offer opportunities for potential capital appreciation and which meet the fund's investment and social criteria. The fund invests primarily in the common stocks of large-cap companies having, on average, market capitalization of at least $1 billion. Investment returns are mostly from changes in the price of the fund's holdings (capital appreciation). Dividends are distributed annually. Capital gains, if any, are distributed once a year.
