Fund Description
The fund was incepted in July 2000 and is managed by Union Planters Investment Advisors, Inc. The fund seeks current income that is exempt from federal income tax consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in obligations producing income that is exempt from federal income tax. The fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in U.S. Government securities, money market instruments or ''private activity'' bonds (some or all of which may produce income subject to federal alternative minimum tax). The fund declares dividends daily and pays them monthly. Capital gains, if any, are distributed at least annually.
