Fund Description
The fund was incepted in August 1989 and is managed by USAA Investment Management Company. The fund seeks to provide California investors with a high level of current interest income that is exempt from federal and California state income taxes. The fund invests primarily in long-term investment-grade California tax-exempt securities. The fund invests its assets in securities issued by the state of California, its political subdivisions and instrumentalities, and by other government entities if, in the opinion of counsel to the issuer, the interest from such obligations is excluded from gross income for federal income tax purposes and is exempt from California state income taxes. Dividends are declared daily and paid on the last business day of each month. Capital gains are distributed in December each year.
