Read MoreHide Full Article

Activision Blizzard just released its third-quarter earnings results, posting earnings of $0.46 per share and revenue of $1.568 billion.

Currently, ATVI has a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), but it is subject to change following the release of the company’s latest earnings report. Here are 5 key statistics from this just announced report below.

Activision Blizzard:

Beat earnings estimates. The company posted adjusted earnings of $0.46 (excluding 20 cents from non-recurring items), beating our Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.39.

Beat revenue estimates. The company saw revenue figures of $1.568 billion, which beat the company’s own forecast of $1.490 billion. While that figure did fall short of our estimate of $1.575 billion, this seems to be a result of the new SEC reporting practices that the video game industry is following. Including the $62 million impacted by GAAP deferrals, the company’s revenue would come in at $1.630 billion.

Activision Blizzard had 482 million Monthly Active Users in the quarter.

GAAP net revenues from digital channels were an all-time quarterly record of $1.34 billion, growing 18% quarter-over-quarter and 114% year-over-year.

The company expects non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.40 and non-GAAP revenues of $1.856 billion in Q4.
