Aging Internet company Yahoo , however, did not have as good of a day. The company disclosed yet another cyber security breach, potentially affecting its acquisition deal with Verizon (VZ - Free Report) .
One of the most successful stocks this year has been Nvidia Corp. (NVDA - Free Report) , a top manufacturer of graphics processor technologies for computing, consumer electronics, and mobile devices. Nvidia can point to the incredible popularity of its high-speed graphics products among gamers and game developers for its success in 2016.
Shares of Yahoo fell about 5.3% in afternoon trading after reports have surfaced that Verizon is weighing doubts on its deal to acquire the internet company for $4.8 billion following news of another security breach, likely Yahoo’s largest in its history. Verizon may use this breach to renegotiate the terms of the original acquisition deal, as there is now potential for lawsuits, user decline, and more damage to Yahoo’s brand.
Nintendo (NTDOY - Free Report) is aggressively pushing into the mobile game space after remining aloof so far. The company’s much anticipated mobile game, Super Mario Run for Apple’s (AAPL - Free Report) iOS platform releases today for $9.99 across 151 countries.
