Earnings season is picking up steam this week. There will be a lot of Dow components and banks reporting. We’re also going to hear from a few of the “glamour” companies like Netflix.
Whether a big or small company, it’s not easy to beat the estimate quarter after quarter, year after year. It’s especially difficult for the large cap companies that have a lot of analyst coverage.
That’s why it’s only a select few who have this amazing track record.
But here are three who have that great record and they’re looking to do it again this week.
US Bancorp (USB - Free Report) is a large regional bank based in Minneapolis. It has a great earnings surprise record. It hasn’t missed in 5 years. Will it keep up the streak?
Netflix (NFLX - Free Report) has been one of the hot stocks for several years, but did you know that it has a perfect earnings track record? It hasn’t missed in 5 years. Impressive. It also has strung together 4 quarters of large earnings beats. Will the analysts under estimate it again this quarter?
Eagle Bancorp (EGBN - Free Report) is another bank with a great earnings record. It has just 1 miss in the last 5 years. But it’s not a big regional bank. Based in Maryland, it has a market cap of just $2 billion. The banks have been very consistent for years. This is another one to watch.
