Chicago, IL—February 24, 2017—Zacks Friday Finish Line is a podcast hosted weekly by Zacks Editor Maddy Johnson and Content Writer Ryan McQueeney that takes on the week’s biggest news from the financial and investment world.
Walmart, Tesla, and Your Complete Guide to Snapchat’s IPO
On today’s episode of the Zacks Friday Finish Line, Content Writer Ryan McQueeney and Editor Maddy Johnson take on this week’s biggest stories, as well as preview one of the biggest market events of the past several years: the upcoming IPO of Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat.
Walmart
The hosts kicked off the show by taking a look at Walmart’s (WMT - Free Report) fourth quarter financial results. America’s biggest retailer beat on both the top and bottom lines, while its e-commerce segment continued to see huge growth.
Tesla
Maddy and Ryan also took a look at Tesla’s (TSLA - Free Report) fourth quarter results, and the electric car company missed earnings estimates but posted a revenue beat. Tesla reiterated many of its vehicle production goals, while global net orders grew almost 50%.
Snapchat
Finally, the hosts were joined by once again by Kathleen Smith, co-founder of Renaissance Capital, to discuss the popular video messaging app Snapchat, and its parent company’s, Snap Inc., upcoming IPO. If it lives up to its high, and pricey, expectations, Snapchat’s market debut will be the largest offering in years.
