Operating revenue per available seat mile (RASM) declined 4.8%.
Key Stats to Note: For the second quarter of 2017, the carrier expects capacity to increase in the band of 4% and 6%. For the full-year 2017 the metric is still expected to increase in the range of 5.5% to 7.5%. Consolidated operating cost per available seat mile, excluding fuel, is expected to grow in the band of 4.5% to 6.5% in the second quarter of 2017. For the full-year 2017 the metric is still expected to grow in the range of 1.5% to 3.5%. RASM is projected to increase in the range of 3% and 6% on a year-over-year basis.
Stock Price: The earnings beat pleased the investors. Shares of the company were up in pre-market trading at the time of writing.
