Spirit Airlines, Inc. (SAVE - Free Report) recently announced the addition of two new international destinations from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The low cost carrier will begin a daily non-stop service to the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil, Ecuador from Mar 22, 2018 onward. Besides, it will initiate a nonstop service to the Cap-Haïtien International Airport, starting on Apr 12, 2018. This will complement the carrier’s existing service to Port-au-Prince.
Other recently announced destinations from Fort Lauderdale include operations to Columbus, OH; Richmond, VA and Seattle-Tacoma. The flights connecting Fort Lauderdale to Columbus and Richmond are a regular year-round service while that between Fort Lauderdale and Seattle-Tacoma is a daily seasonal service.
The services from Fort Lauderdale to Columbus, Richmond and Seattle-Tacoma will be operational on Feb 15, Mar 15 and Apr 12, respectively, in 2018.
This apart, the airline will offer flights from Detroit to Portland and San Diego, slated to initiate on Apr 23.
Following these new services, the carrier will dole out a total of 65 daily flights from Fort Lauderdale, covering 54 destinations across the United States, the Caribbean region and Latin America.
