ANET Benefits From Strong AI Networking Demand

Arista witnessed accelerating demand for its AI networking solutions as customers expanded investments in large-scale AI infrastructure. The company's Ethernet-based networking architecture supports AI training and inference workloads across scale-out and scale-across deployments, enabling efficient connectivity across distributed computing environments.

The company continues to expand its Etherlink portfolio, comprising at least 25 switches designed for AI networking applications. Management highlighted growing adoption of scale-across networking, which connects computing resources across multiple data centers. Arista expects this architecture to represent an increasing portion of AI networking deployments in 2027.

The company is also advancing rack-scale networking designs through partnerships with leading accelerator providers. Initial scale-up trials are expected in 2027, with production anticipated in 2028.

Arista Witnesses Broad-Based Geographic Growth

The Americas remained the largest revenue contributor, generating $2.98 billion compared with $1.84 billion in the year-ago quarter. Revenues increased 62% year over year, supported by strong demand from major cloud and AI infrastructure customers.

Revenues from Europe, the Middle East and Africa increased 59% year over year to $381 million from $239 million. Asia-Pacific revenues grew 32% to $302 million from $229 million. Enterprise expansion, particularly campus networking adoption, supported growth across international markets.

Enterprise customers increasingly adopted Arista's networking solutions for mission-critical infrastructure, emphasizing reliability, security and automated network management. Customer wins across healthcare, hospitality and web services reflected expanding demand for its integrated networking architecture.

ANET Delivers Strong Profitability Despite Higher Costs

Non-GAAP gross profit increased to $2.34 billion from $1.51 billion in the prior-year quarter. However, gross margin contracted to 64% from 65.2%, primarily due to customer mix and higher product costs. Improved manufacturing efficiency partially offset these pressures.

Non-GAAP operating expenses increased to $545.3 million from approximately $383 million a year ago. However, expenses declined to 14.9% of revenues from 16.6%, reflecting operating leverage despite increased investments in product development.

Research and development expenses totaled $408.5 million, reflecting investments in liquid cooling, high-radix switching and advanced AI networking software.

Non-GAAP operating income grew 60.1% year over year to $1.8 billion, with operating margin expanding to 49.1% from 48.6%. Non-GAAP net income increased 56.3% to $1.53 billion from $979 million.

Arista Maintains Strong Liquidity and Supply Commitments

Arista generated $1.2 billion in operating cash flow during the reported quarter. Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled approximately $14.4 billion at quarter-end, up from $13.3 billion in the preceding quarter.

Inventory increased to $3.2 billion from $2.5 billion sequentially as the company strengthened component availability to support customer demand. Inventory turnover declined to 1.6 from 1.7 in the preceding quarter.

Purchase commitments increased to $11.4 billion from $9.7 billion sequentially, reflecting strategic supply arrangements for critical components. Approximately 80% of these commitments are expected to be utilized within 12 months.

Total deferred revenues stood at $6.84 billion compared with $6.87 billion in the preceding quarter. Management attributed fluctuations to product acceptance requirements and changing deployment schedules.

ANET Raises 2026 Revenue Outlook

For the fourth quarter of 2026, Arista expects revenues between $3.9 billion and $4 billion. Non-GAAP gross margin is projected between 63% and 64%, while operating margin is anticipated between 48% and 49%.

Management expects non-GAAP earnings per share between $1.26 and $1.30, assuming approximately 1.28 billion diluted shares and a 21% effective tax rate.

The company raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook for the fourth time to approximately $13.3 billion, representing 48% annual growth, supported by accelerating AI infrastructure investments and enterprise networking demand.

Arista Expects Robust Growth Momentum in 2027

For 2027, management projects revenue growth between 38% and 40%, translating to approximately $18.5 billion at the midpoint. AI fabrics revenues are expected to double to approximately $7 billion, while campus networking revenues are projected to increase 60% to approximately $2 billion.

Non-GAAP gross margin is expected to be between 62% and 64%, with operating margin of approximately 49%. Management remains confident in its supply chain capabilities, supported by strategic supplier agreements and continued investments in manufacturing capacity.
