Shares of Accenture plc (ACN - Free Report) have gained 25.3% over the past year, outperforming the S&P 500’s 16.6% rally.
At the Mobile World Congress America last Friday, the company unveiled 5G Acceleration Services, aimed at speeding up the process of the deployment of 5G network technology.
Focused on 5G strategy, use cases and business models, device innovation, network deployment approach, architectural as well as platform innovation, the new set of services is expected to counter deceleration of 5G deployment.
It can be availed by a range of communications industry players such as communications service providers (CSPs), device manufacturers, network operators, over-the-top content suppliers, multiple-system operators, internet software and platform players.
Jefferson Wang, managing director, Accenture Strategy, Communications, Media & Technology, stated, “Accenture 5G Acceleration Services provides our clients with a framework and a set of analytics powered tools to help ensure they’re making the right investments in the right areas. The new services will help clients create their 5G vision and start their journey to make it a reality.”
Communications, Media & Technology Segment to Benefit
We believe that the move will help Accenture boost performance in the Communications, Media & Technology segment that serves communications, media, software, high tech and platform companies. Performance of this segment was strong in the last reported quarter with revenues increasing 22% on a year-over-year basis.
The long-term expected earnings per share (three to five years) growth rate for WEX, NV5 Global and Total System is 15%, 20% and 14.6%, respectively.
Best Electric Car Stock? You'll Never Guess It.
Zacks Research has released a report that may shock many investors. One stock stands out as the best way to invest in the surge to electric cars. And it's not the one you may think!
Much like petroleum 150 years ago, lithium battery power is set to shake the world, creating millionaires and reshaping geo-politics. Soon electric vehicles (EVs) may be cheaper than gas guzzlers. Some are already reaching 265 miles on a single charge. With battery prices plummeting and charging stations set to multiply, revenues that were already at $31 billion in 2016 are expected to blast to over $67 billion by the end of 2022.
