Adjusted EBITDA of $119 million increased 9% on a year-over-year basis. Adjusted EBITDA margin of 36.5% increased from 35.6% in the year-ago quarter.
Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
Green Dot exited the quarter with cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash balance of $1.7 billion compared with $1.1 billion at the end of the prior quarter. It has no long-term debt.
The company generated $115.4 million of cash from operating activities and capex was $19.3 million.
Guidance
Green Dot lowered its non-GAAP EPS and adjusted EBITDA guidance for 2019. The company now expects non-GAAP EPS to be between $2.82 and $2.91 compared with the previous guidance of $3.59-$3.67. The midpoint ($2.87) of the revised guided range is much lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.53 and represents year-over-year decline of 13%.
